What
we do
India
is emerging very fast as an economically developing country
and therefore private sector undertakings including industrial
houses have become a major source of employment generator.
The world is looking towards India for outsourcing and therefore
there is a great opportunity for IT industry. We hope to
empower our youths towards gearing up to take advantage
of this new age industry by training and placing them in
different jobs.
Our youths of today must engage themselves into specialized
fields of activities including entrepreneurial skills so
that they can earn a decent income while they are in India
and becomes an asset when we return back to our country.
We propose to cultivate our youths to suit to this new demand
in the country by engaging in following activities.
1.
Organizing educational counseling at the level of school,
so that the youngsters can make a definitive plan for the
future and guiding them at the university level.
2.
Providing leadership training in community service and encouraging
creating more such social service organisations.
3.
Promotion of entrepreneurship to suit available market opportunities
and co-ordinating job placements.
4
Coordinating with different Indian public sector undertakings
and industrial houses and requesting for employment for
Tibetan educated youths.
5 YEI will initiate a connection between the classroom and
"real life" by involving Tibetan community leaders
and businessman.
6 Organize familiarization tours in India for our youths,
born and brought up in the west, to educate them about our
rich cultural heritage and the refugee life in India.
7
To engage in any voluntary activity that will empower our
youths to be responsible citizens.
8
To promote young entrepreneurs and artists in exile ad the
Himalayan region of India.
YEI
uses a three-step employment process to maximize the livelihood
of not only getting a job, but also more importantly, maintaining
employment through that particularly difficult first year
post-release.
First,
the YEI provides pre-employment training to instruct job
seekers on the culture and expectations of the workplace.
Next,
YEI work with job seekers and employers to obtain suitable
job referrals and placement.
Finally,
YEI focuses on job retention by maintaining contact with
both the employee and the employer for one-year post-placement
to resolve any issues that may arise to threaten continued
employment.
